how to draw a love bird

what I used: Crayola watercolors and Prismacolor colored pencils.

How to draw a love bird,

start with a good initial sketch.

I used my 0.5mm mechanical pencil.

then, as your sketching is good just start adding colors.

I used Crayola watercolors, they're nice but not professional actually. the colors are quite brilliant, the tints are basic tho.

first, focus on the areas in which the hue is stronger and darker.

one of the most important things is to look frequently at the photo reference to make a good and realistic work.

so keep adding and blending the colors until the result satisfies you.

now use colored pencils to add details and make your drawing more realistic!

I used Prismacolor Premier colored pencils.

I suggest you don't press too hard with the pencils, otherwise your work may turn into a mess.

just draw thinly to blend the different mediums.

keep layering and blending as long as the draw looks nice to you :)
